How long have you been working in the real estate industry?
2 years

How did you get into real estate?
I transitioned into the real estate industry while I was still working for the State of Wisconsin. I had a mentor who still to this day motivates me and helps guide me through the challenges of the market.

What was one of your greatest challenges starting out?
My greatest challenge was understanding how unique the market was. With low inventory, “high” rates and a challenging world post 2020, it was tough to get a grasp on how to find clients, support them, and educate them all while understanding that this market is not normal.

What advice did you find most helpful when starting out in the industry?
The best piece of advice I received was “you have to go out and find business, it will not come to you”, which really has been the reason I’ve been able to grow in this industry. I love being a young professional in real estate because the veteran agents have the best advice to give, and I don’t take it for granted.

What do you enjoy most about working in real estate?
I love working with people. It’s the highlight of my day being able to interact with different people of varying backgrounds. I’m a people person so I try to go to industry events and network with others! I love being able to make long lasting connections and really capitalize on the changing market.

What is your proudest achievement or favorite memory in real estate?
My favorite memory has been the Women’s Council of Realtors® golf outing. I have a lot of great memories with my clients, but I think one of the great things about our industry is how we are able to all come together and have fun!

What advice would you give to someone new to the industry, or someone considering real estate?
Be all in. Really go for it and sell yourself. Be honest, have integrity and be open minded, and you’ll find success.

How has being a member of RASCW benefited you?
Being a part of RASCW has been integral to my success as a Realtor® because of the connections I’ve made with others in the group. Being able to connect with my “competitors” or simply meeting new lenders, loan officers, etc. to build my resources for my clients has really had a positive impact on my business.

How are you involved and making a difference in your community?
I am involved in my local chamber of commerce and I try to sponsor different events in my community when I am able to. It’s integral to give back to my community that supports me and to try to make a difference to those who have helped me.

If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, alive or not, who would it be?
I would have lunch with Taylor Swift because of how supportive she is to other women, and I think she is so inspirational and would give some good career advice. Of course, my number #1 would be to always have dinner with my mom. She is so intelligent and incredibly funny and I would love to have dinner with her everyday if I could. Additionally, I would be nowhere without my mentors at my current brokerage, so I would love to have dinner with them. Their wisdom and knowledge of the industry is priceless and I cherish their company.

Outside of work, what makes you happy?
I love to golf. I’m a member at Edelweiss in New Glarus and I often find myself down there golfing with friends and family. I also like to hike with my dog, Scout, and find new breweries to try with my friends!
