What made you want to pursue real estate as a career?
My love for talking to others and being out and about, and seeing buyers’ and sellers’ excitement when we get them what they want!
What was one of your greatest challenges as a new agent?
Letting the word out to my network that I was doing this business. Also earning their trust as a newbie to rely on me for their largest financial transaction.
What motivated you to apply for the RASCW Minority Scholarship?
Really needed that initial help since it was unknown how the business will go.
What did receiving the RASCW Minority Scholarship mean to you?
A lot. That first year of financial assistance set me up in the correct mindset and gave me time to establish myself.
What helped you the most as a new agent?
Support from my broker.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a new REALTOR®?
You will need to generate leads by yourself using your network (friends, family and other acquaintances). Be patient, start with what you get and put your best effort into it.
