Fifteen years ago, in 2008, there were 4,918 homes for sale in Dane County, and 13,087 in the whole South Central WI region. This past November, there were 686 homes for sale in Dane County, and 2,310 in the whole South Central WI region. Back in 2008, buyers had a huge advantage as the month’s supply was around 12 months. Today, sellers are in the driver’s seat as we have experienced under 2 months of supply for the past few years.
