Housing sales activity continued to weaken through September, which can be explained by a combination of the normal fall market slowdown, increasing interest rates, and a long stretch of low listing inventory. Compared to September of 2022, sales were down 16.3% in our 18-county region, with Dane County recording 29.2% fewer sales than in September of 2022.
